Bob Wallace, Artemus Consulting Group founder, and Keith Melton, renowned intelligence historian are announcing the soon to be released book "Spy Sites of New York City". On the heels of the Discovery Times Square Center Premier of Melton's "SPY: The Secret World of Espionage" this book will give the most detailed history of international espionage in New York from the Revolutionary War to the present day. Their book includes stories of covert operatives posing as Wall Street executives, United Nations diplomats to Greenwic  Village artists...drop zones, recruitment sites...actual histories betrayal and  sometimes death.

"SPYCRAFT" is scheduled for a second revised edition later this year.

Discovery Center Times Square will feature: SPY: The Secret World of Espionage beginning this week. This will be a first ever exhibit of treasures from the collections of the CIA, FBI, NRO and H. Keith Melton, the renowned author, historian, and authority on spy technology. Visitors will see real gadgets and real artifacts from spys and spy catchers. This will be a first of its kind look into the world of espionage includinng newly declassified equitment and technology.


Bob Wallace, 32 year veteran of the CIA and Director of it's Office of Technical Service was responsible for the development and deployment of much of this equpment and technology used in it's counter terrorism efforts worldwide. Wallace is attending the opening as he and Melton have collaborated on numerous articles and books over the years...most notably, SPYCRAFT: The Secret History of the CIA's Spytechs from Communism to Al-Qaeda and also, The Official C.I.A. Manual of Trickery and Deception. They are currently working on another book covering a broad picture of espionage hoping to be published later this year.


The Intelligencer: Journal of US Intelligence Studies, Winter/Spring 2012 issue gave special recognition to Bob Wallace's book. It described "SPYCRAFT: THE SECRET HISTORY OF THE CIA'S SPYTECHS FROM COMMUNISM TO AL-QUAEDA" as "the definitive history of the Agency's gadgetry". Wallace, 32 year veteran of the CIA, Deputry and then Director of the Agency's Office of Technical Service (OTS) and is now current founder and primary Associate of Artemus Consulting Group, a consortium of retired CIA Senior officers. As Director of OTS, Wallace was responsible for the development and deployment of the Agency's spy equipment for their agents involved in worldwide clandestine operations.
